INTRODUCTION
The RAID Search and Recovery Specialty develops the skills and knowledge to allow you to safely and methodically find lost items and recover them from the ocean floor. On this course you will learn:
- What is a search and recovery diver
- Considerations to take when searching for objects
- Search and recovery equipment including but not limited to: knots, hooks, shackles and lift bags
- Personnel required for a search and recovery dive
- how to plan and conduct various types of search patterns
- how to perform a grid search
- the recovery process
Your training process is;
Read each manual, then complete the Quick Quiz for each
When finished all the Quick Quiz questions, complete the final exam.
Incorrect answers are provided, simply click on the "VIEW" button next to your score to read through and see the correct answers.
Make contact with your RAID Dive Centre and arrange to complete your in water training once you have passed the exam.
You will be required to attend a minimum of two (4) open water dives with a qualified RAID Search and Recovery Specialty Instructor.
