Few people have the fortune to be part of the wonders and inter actions which is scuba diving.

Diving is a sport the family can all do together, with the options of a calm, slow and peaceful dive or an adrenaline, intense exploration. There is no substitute for the actual sensation and experience of being underwater and doing it.

To get your certification you need to read the manuals for each section and complete the Quick Quiz.

When you have passed all the Quick Quiz questions, move on to the final exam. During this time, contact a RAID Dive Centre (Under My Dive Centre) and arrange for your practical in water training and ask them to help you with equipment advice or purchases.

This is an open book exam and you need to research the manual to find the correct answers yourself! Before writing the exam log out & back in to ensure you do not get expired page/time and lose all your answers!

Junior Scuba Diver

The Junior Scuba Diver program is derived from the RAID Junior Open Water course and provides you with basic knowledge and the full experience of scuba diving and the underwater World. This programme has a maximum teaching depth of 12m or 39ft and certifies you to dive with the accompaniment of a Dive Professional.

Introduction

The RAID Scuba Diver program was designed to accommodate those who are short on time and can't complete the full Open Water 20 course. The Scuba Diver program is derived from the RAID Open Water 20 course and provides you with basic knowledge and the full experience of scuba diving and the underwater World.

Upon completion of the RAID Scuba Diver program you will receive a certification card indicating your completion of the course. This will allow you to dive to a maximum depth of 12 metres/40ft with a dive professional across many parts of the world. The Scuba Diver certification is also a recognition of learning and allows you to fast track your RAID Open Water 20 course at a later date by not having to repeat any skills that overlap with the two programs.

It is important to select and contact a RAID Dive Centre and arrange for your practical in-water training. They will arrange your class and in-water sessions and help you with equipment advice or purchases.

What is the Junior Explorer 30 course all about?

The RAID Junior Explorer 30 course is an exciting, fun programme designed to increase your skills and understanding of the important core areas of diving. This course is largely practical so you have more time to enjoy your journey and practice the skills your Instructor will teach you.

The course will take you on 5 different dives so you expand on the knowledge and skills learned during your Open Water course. The theory section is a general overview of each core session and some important information to take away regarding each dive.

You will do a small quiz for this section and final exam online or in your dive centre. These will cover the main topics and any safety aspects you need to know. Your instructor will review this information before your dives so no formal classroom time is required.

INTRODUCTION

The Level 2 programme builds on your experience and develops your understanding and skills to dive deeper, whilst working on the fundamental skill of buoyancy control. This does not detract from the fun the programme has installed, such as the Search and Discovery section and learning about the aquatic realm.

If you have joined RAID for the first time or you have completed Level 1 - to review the procedure:

Read each manual, then complete the Quick Quiz.
It is open book so don't stress.
When finished all the Quick Quiz questions, complete the final exam.
If you do not get a pass re-read the section you are not comfortable with or contact your local RAID Dive Centre found under My Dive Centre and ask for help.
You may attempt the quiz 10 times, but once you have passed move on to the next manual.

The Level 4 programme is a continuation from the Level 3 Rescue training; developing the Problem Management Skills from the review of rescue skills which can never be over emphasized, to the development of the Divers Skill Demonstration and Assisting a RAID Instructor, with a few things thrown in for education.

The main feature of this Level of training is your attitude. The best course in the world will not show results if your heart and commitment are not there.
